SMS Terms and Conditions

Program: a personal assistant service operated by Matt McArthur, sole proprietor, which sends operational alerts about his own business — inbound customer orders, invoices, and fulfilment requests — and accepts replies to act on them.

Who receives these messages

The only recipient is the sole proprietor himself, on his own mobile number. There is no public sign-up. The service's configuration permits exactly one recipient number, and a message addressed to any other number is refused before it is sent. No third party is or can be enrolled.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with business activity. In normal use this is a small number of messages per day — typically fewer than ten — and may be zero on a quiet day.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email matt@mattmc.art.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Verbal consent script

This is the script by which consent is obtained. The sole proprietor, Matt McArthur, is the only recipient. He gives consent for himself at enrollment, before any message is sent, and never in response to a text message.

Spoken confirmation:

"This is Matt McArthur. I agree to receive automated text messages from my own assistant service at this number, about my business operations — customer orders, invoices, and delivery requests. Message frequency varies and is typically fewer than ten messages per day. Message and data rates may apply. I can reply HELP at any time for help, or STOP to opt out completely."

How consent is recorded and stored

The affirmation is recorded by entering the consenting mobile number into the service's own configuration, where it is stored with the service's deployment record. That configuration permits exactly one recipient number, and a message addressed to any other number is refused before it is sent.

Reply STOP to any message to stop all messages. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email matt@mattmc.art.
